He's arrived...

OK, I know this is way late (a month late to the date) but I thought I would share some details about CJ's special day. We had just gotten through Little A's special day and had no idea that he would be coming the next day! I was feeling so good on her day (the contractions had subsided a bit) that I thought for sure I would be going until my scheduled inducement date (6/4). I woke up around 1am the morning of the 2nd and started feeling the contractions again. This time they were stronger and timeable again. I sat in bed and timed them for a good 45 minutes before waking up the hubby. I'd been through this before and figured I wouldn't make him lose anymore sleep over it. Once I did wake him up, we sat and debated on if we should go in or not. It would be the THIRD time. We called the mom-in-law, whose so awesome to come over at 2:30 in the morning to watch the girls. When we arrived I had progressed to a 4 so they were keeping me! (yeah!!) I was settled into a room and the walking began. I walked and walked and walked... If I stopped walking the contractions weren't as hard so I kept walking. My Mom was there with me and we were joking that they needed treadmills with TV's so we had something to look at. We were stuck to one floor and not much action was happening that early in the morning. By this time we had seen the switching of the guard (nurse changes) and was back in the room to see the doctor. He was going to come in and break my water to speed things up. Turns out the baby was still high and they didn't want to break it due to cord prolapse so they wanted to wait. More walking...
So finally around 9:45am or so my water broke. Luckily I had just come back into my room so it wasn't out in the hallway :) I was at a 6 at that time and things were moving along pretty quickly after that. CJ arrived at 10:37 am, nice and healthy! (8 lbs, 8 oz.-22 inches)

Pat is so sweet, she offered to come and watch Maddy while she slept if I went in labor in the middle of the night when I was pregnant with Jack. Hearing baby details never get old and are never the same.

Yes you walked a few miles I think in that hospital. And you delivered that big boy with no drugs....what a woman! So happy he's here.
